I have been working with ceramics since 1991 at Wesleyan University. I concentrate on theoretical art, oftentimes altering thrown functional pieces. A recent trip to (in 2005) to New Zealand has brought out a new theme involving layers of color and texture inspired by the volcanic rock layers and water lines.
